SALVATION

We believe that salvation from the penalty of sin is the gift of God’s grace. It cannot be gained or earned by works but is freely bestowed upon all who have put their faith, trust, and belief of the works of Jesus Christ. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for forgiveness of past, current, and future sins and Repentance is a turning toward God, turning away from sin, and is a part of but not separate from the believing faith. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. Salvation includes man’s regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.

  • Regeneration – is a new birth and work of God’s grace whereby, believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart prompted by the Holy Spirit through the conviction of sin to which the sinner responds in repentance and places their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

  • Justification - is God’s gracious and full acquittal of all past, present, and future sins; bringing the believer in Jesus Christ into a right relationship with God the Father; bringing peace and favor with God.

  • Sanctification - is the process by which the believer is set apart to God’s purposes and progresses toward moral and spiritual maturity through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within. Continued Christian growth will continue throughout the regenerate person’s life until Glorification.

  • Glorification - is the culmination and final blessed and abiding state of those who are In Christ and will remain in Glorification for eternity.
